Promising Regulation

Two draft bills recently have been registered in the parliament for the development of the IT industry in Ukraine.

The major bill draft provides for:

✔️ special tax regime for IT companies

✔️ special model of income taxation for the employees who are being involved in the IT industry

✔️ an option to choose a contract form for employment

2) Second bill provides for certain tax rates:

✔️ 5 % — taxation of salaries of the employees (tax income)

✔️ 5 % — single social security tax

✔️ 18 % — tax for withdrawn capital

Companies that will be entitled to such tax benefits will be included in a special register run by a central body (supposedly by Ministry of Digital Transformation)

State support

✔️ In September 2019, Ukrainian Government launched a new Ministry of Digital Transformation, showing its strong intentions to be among the leaders in the digitalization of state services.

✔️ Being responsible for the general digitalization and implementation of public services online, the Ministry of Digital Transformation also serves as a regulator for cryptocurrencies.

✔️ Also, State supports startups through launching different funds that provide grants for the most prominent and promising among them.
